Admission Non–EU Students

Overview

Admission process

Step 1: Fill in the application form. We will get in touch with you to discuss more details.

Step 2: Book an interview slot (the interview is online or in person). During the interview, we will evaluate your English language proficiency level and find out more about your motivation to study at HRC Culinary Academy. In addition, we will discuss more details about what comes next.

Step 3: Following the successful interview, you could enroll, provide the necessary documents, and transfer the respective fees.

We will need the following documents:

  • Passport
  • Original or notarized copy of Secondary School Diploma and Transcript. The overall grades, as well as the grade for the subject “English”, must be more than 62% to be eligible.
  • Power of attorney – this document is necessary because we must represent the applicant in front of the Regional Department of Education – Sofia. The latter is responsible for the recognition of high school diplomas, obtained abroad; following this procedure, we can submit the documents to the Ministry of Education.
  • 8 colour passport-size photos
  • Original or notarized copy of Birth certificate – you should bring it with you when you start your studies at the Academy

All documents must be legalized (and in some cases certified) by the respective authorities. Details about this procedure are discussed as it depends on the applicant’s country.

When received in Bulgaria, documents are translated into Bulgarian and submitted to the Ministry of Education. Following approval from the latter, one can proceed with the visa application.

Step 4: The student receives visa D for 6 months and must enter Bulgaria while the visa is valid. Before the expiration date, they apply for a residence permit (this is arranged in Bulgaria). Further details of the admissions process are provided in addition.

Other documents:

  • Medical certificate and Health booklet – issued in Bulgaria

Fees:
