HRC Culinary Academy starts the year with exciting guests! Philippe Marand, EEMEA manager of the Chocolate Academy and a key figure in the gourmet world, is coming to the Academy on 16.01 to make a presentation for our students, and on 17 and 18.01 – a master class for some of the most prominent confectioners in Bulgaria.

His star guest appearance, as well as other upcoming events, are part of our partnership with Barry Callebaut, who will provide special scholarships to study at the Chocolate Academy Belgrade for two of the Academy’s best students.

Philippe Marand is not only a participant in global culinary events but also a Lenôtre ambassador with a rich international career. With his technical skills and experience, he became the creator of innovative products such as Mycryo cocoa butter.

From Hong Kong to London, he shared his knowledge with new cultures and became famous for his creativity. His role as Barry-Callebaut’s technical service manager for the region undoubtedly makes him a leader in the industry.

Philippe travels the world, sharing his experiences and interacting with diverse cultures that enrich his skills. He is fluent in English and Spanish, often participating in television and radio programs in France and abroad. Co-author of numerous books and gold medal winner of the Gold Medal in the Charles Proust contest, awarded by the City of Paris, and was named Disciple of Étienne Tholoniat and a 2008 MOF finalist.

Today he is responsible for technical services at Barry-Callebaut for Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and successfully manages the Chocolate Academy in Athens and other important initiatives in the region.
