ABOUT THE PROJECT. . .
… partners in this project include the HRC Academy sending organization and two partners HRC International BV – The Netherlands and Erasmus Academy UK Ltd. – the United Kingdom, host organizations providing 3-month internship under the Erasmus + program in restaurants, to get acquainted with the new trends in culinary art and the craft of molecular cuisine.
GOALS AND EXPECTED RESULTS
The participating organizations aim to improve the quality of the learning process through a 3-month, long-term professional mobility, planned for 20 participants. The internships are going to take place in restaurants in the period 01.09.20 – 20.12.20. The aim is to provide 3-month professional mobility through fieldwork in two countries with established traditions in the restaurant business – the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. For successful implementation of practical activities and better adaptation of the participants pedagogical and cultural training will be held in advance. The main expected effect of the project is to increase the professional competencies of the participants as a result of the practical training. The scope of the project will be 20 learners, who will undergo prior training. A group of 20 students will go for mobility in the Netherlands (13 people) and the United Kingdom (7 people). By performing practical tasks, they will supplement their knowledge with new practical techniques and approaches.
Expected results:
- improved foreign language competence from its practice in a real work environment;
- raising cultural awareness and improving intercultural skills;
- acquisition of new knowledge and skills in the field of culinary art and in particular molecular cuisine;
- getting to know and acquiring skills related to innovation in the cuisine of the two host countries;
- development of personal skills – teamwork, leadership skills, perfection, etc.
WHY CULINARY ART?
The academy prepares mainly specialists for the restaurant business. The profession is modern and popular, but to be successful in the field, it takes a combination of practical experience, knowledge and skills. Training in a world-class restaurant chain will give the participants great competitive advantage and practical experience from a real workplace. This will help increase the employment of young people and the smooth transition from education to the work market.
Expect our next monthly update in which we will share details with you, related to the candidate selection procedure and other details on the implementation of our project!
