We are happy to inform you that our project proposal “Sharing is Caring: Exchange of European Culinary and Hospitality Sustainability Practices,” submitted under the Erasmus+ Programme, Adult Education sector, has been approved for funding by the National Agency in Bulgaria, under contract № 2024-2-BG01-KA122-ADU-000203815

The project will be implemented in partnership with an organization from Italy and aims to promote transnational cooperation in the field of environmentally sustainable practices in the restaurant and hospitality sectors. The main focus is on developing and applying sustainable and healthy work methods through the use of regional products, short supply chains, and waste-minimization techniques.

As part of the project, short-term mobilities will be carried out for 14 teachers and staff members from HRC Culinary Academy. They will have the opportunity to participate in a job-shadowing program in Italy, where they will exchange experiences and best practices with colleagues and experts in the field of sustainable culinary education.

The project will contribute to:

  • Improving the knowledge and skills of the teaching staff regarding eco-friendly practices in the HORECA sector;
  • Raising awareness of the European Green Deal and its practical application;
  • Updating the Academy’s training programs with a focus on sustainability;
  • Strengthening the international profile and partnerships of HRC Culinary Academy.
