For the second year in a row, Mastercard’s joint program with HRC – Girls4Culinary, is supporting passionate young girl culinarians with one full scholarship to attend the professional two-year Culinary Arts program at HRC. The initiative gives girls from vocational tourism schools the opportunity to continue their education by funding them with a €12,000 scholarship.

What Does the Scholarship Include?

The scholarship covers full tuition at the HRC Culinary Academy for the two-year Culinary Arts program, as well as the organisation of a paid internship at a restaurant member of the international JRE association.

Scholarship Application & Conditions:

• Candidate needs to be a girl between the ages of 18 and 20;
• Candidate should have an interest in culinary arts and a good knowledge of English;
• Candidate should be a student or graduate of a vocational school of tourism and catering;
• Candidate should submit a short video in which you introduce yourself in English and answer the question: “Why do I want to get a culinary education and what will it bring me in the future?”;
• Candidate should send the video to the HRC Culinary Academy email address (info@hrcacademy.com), along with three names, age, city and school.
• The scholarship is valid only for Bulgarian citizens.

Deadlines:

– Applications are open until 6 May 2025.

– The scholarship recipient will be announced on 20 May 2025.

– The program begins with the fall intake on 10 September, 2025.

Success Story:

Last year’s scholarship recipient, Marina Mokrisheva, graduated from the Vocational School of Tourism in Sofia and has known since childhood that culinary arts was her calling. After a successful first semester, she is looking forward to her international internship in Europe, where she will gain invaluable experience and work in a restaurant of the JRE network.
