HRC Culinary Academy Hosts Masterclass at “Nikola Dimov” Professional High School in Pirdop

On April 16, 2025, HRC Culinary Academy visited the Professional High School of Tourism and Food Technologies “Nikola Dimov” in the town of Pirdop, where it conducted a culinary masterclass, presented its educational programs, and inspired students, teachers, and guests with a culinary demonstration and cooking competition.

The event began with the official awarding of the finalists from the regional professional skills competition for tourism schools, who received diplomas and prizes for their achievements.

Following the awards ceremony, HRC Culinary Academy introduced its training programs for professional chefs, highlighting development opportunities and career prospects in the culinary industry.

The central highlight of the event was a culinary masterclass by Chef Viktor Svetoslavov, Head Chef Instructor at HRC Culinary Academy. The topic was “Techniques for Cooking Rice”, focusing on various types of rice and their application in healthy eating. Attendees learned valuable culinary techniques and tips from a seasoned professional.

Ten talented students participated in the culinary competition, where they:

• Individually prepared risotto, evaluated by Chef Svetoslavov.
• In teams, cooked rice pilaf, which was tasted by attending students, teachers, and guests.

The winner of the team challenge was determined through audience voting, and all participants received certificates and compliments.

• Katerina Ivanova – PR representative of Pirdop Municipality
• Diyana Tsvetanova and Zlatka Dyolgyarova – representatives from the Community Support Center, Pirdop
• Principals and educators from regional educational institutions
