HRC Academy at the finals in Spain


HRC Academy at International Tapas Competition with chef Oriol Catro

From all the 240 applications received, the jury has selected 14 students representing 13 different countries. And HRC Academy student Tsvetan Valkov is one of them!

The countries represented in the present edition include: Singapore, Serbia, Canada, Bulgaria, Italy, Mexico, United States of America, England, Denmark, Turkey, Puerto Rico and Sweden.
The HRC Culinary Academy student Tsvetan Valkov is in his third semester of studies and represents our school in a team with his chef instructor Eduardo Cortes.

The students are judged by a selected panel of national and international judges. The challenge for the participants includes:
– Creating an unique Tapa which draws influence from their local culture with a Spanish twist using both local and Spanish produce in the preliminary stage of the competition
– Writing a personal essay describing their recipe and their professional career goals.

Our team has already attracted the attention of the guests and other participants as representatives of the only Culinary Academy in the region and the fact that for third time in a row we are on the finals of the International Students Tapas competition!
