Discover the immense possibilities for culinary education with HRC Academy

Over the past month, HRC Culinary Academy had the opportunity to visit several vocational high schools in the country.  Our hosts were the Professional High School of Tourism “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” in Burgas, the Professional High School “General Vladimir Zaimov” in Sopot and the Professional High School of Tourism “Dr. Vasil Beron” in Veliko Tarnovo.

During the school visits, the students learned all about the culinary programs and career opportunities HRC Culinary Academy can provide. Chef Lyuben Koychev showed them modern techniques for plating, spherification and molecular cuisine. The students tried out how to work with a whipping siphon and how to make foam. He introduced them to the most popular trends worldwide and gave them a lecture on modern food serving trends and styles.

During the presentation day in Sopot, students from the vocational school “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov”, Dimitrovgrad, vocational school “Zlatyu Boyadzhiev”, Brezovo and Secondary School “Hristo Smirnenski”, Hissarya also took part. Chef Viktor Svetoslavov presented a practical master class on basic techniques for cutting vegetables. All the students who attended were able to practice everything they learned during the day. They prepared ratatouille, pilaf with vegetables, terrine with chicken and roasted vegetables.

We would like to thank the students for their interest, dedication and commitment.
