During the period of 27-th till 29-th of June 2018, the famous sugar artist and decorator Mrs Barbara Castiglione from Italy will deliver a course in Cake Design and Decoration with an accent on decorating wedding cakes with flowers in gum paste or modeling chocolate.
The course will take place in the premises of HRC Culinary Academy in Sofia (59 “Tsar Boris III” Blvd.) in three consecutive days, from 09:00 till 17:00h. It is aimed at pastry cooks who wish to learn technics for cake decoration and work with sugar paste. It is also appropriate for cake decorators who would like to increase their skills. The programme is intensive and includes Introduction to sugar art, modelling chocolate and flower making, handcrafted preparation of sugar paste, cake assembly, decoration, etc. Preparation of different types of sponge cake, creams and syrup for cakes are also part of the course.
Barbara is a professional sugar artist, member of Italian Cooking Federation FIC and the Italian Pastry Federation (FIP).
