This year's National Culinary Cup brought together talented chefs from across the country - a total of 12 teams and 19 individuals competed in the two major categories of National Culinary Cup of Bulgaria – the Best Culinary team of Bulgaria and the Best Chef for 2016, which was held between 21st and 23rd of April in Plovdiv. During the Culinary Cup the contestants competed in many other categories like the Best Pastry Chef, the Best Baker, the Pizza Master, the Best Bartender and the Best Waiter/Waitress.
Vladimir Todorov from Ruse a graduated of HRC Culinary Academy became the "Best Chef of Bulgaria" 2016, after winning the gold in the ACF's competition this winter, now a victory at home. This year, obviously Ruse is the city with the most culinary talents (not just the gold, but the silver and bronze went to Ruse, as well) and we cannot wait to meet more of them at the culinary festival "Bulgaria meets the flavors of the world", which will take place between the 12th and 28th of May 2016 – the festival will be in Ruse on the 20th of May.
The excitement does not stop here, because HRC Culinary Academy won another medal - silver in the category "Best Pastry Chef" for Georgi Sotirov a recent graduate – class 2015th. Georgi just graduated and he is in the beginning of his exciting culinary career, we wish him good luck and hopefully this will not be the last prize for him.
Congratulations to the winners and to our two teams, that made it to the finals of the Culinary Cup 2016. Congratulations also to the young talents who won scholarships for education at HRC Culinary Academy with the total amount of € 12,000.
