Admissions procedure for NON European Union students
After completing your online application, following steps will take place in order to get you started at the HRC Academy.

  • Step  1
    Payment of  the EUR 50 registration fee, and send via email the following scanned documents:
    • Bank receipt for the payment of the registration fee
    • High school diploma
    • International Passport

 

  • Step  2
    Intake interview with our student affairs department. The Academy will send an email notification with results within 5 working days.

 

  • Step 3
    Upon acceptance, we can start your visa application. We require the following documents at this time:
    1. Translated into English: Notarized copy of the Diploma of completion for Higher Secondary Education including the compulsory subjects (script).The diploma should be certified by the respective authorities (Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the resident’s country). The diploma should be  attested and legalized by the Bulgarian consulate at the nearest Bulgarian diplomatic mission.
    2. Translated into English: Certificate  issued by the Ministry of Education in the residence country stating  that the academic credentials of the applicant gives him\her the right and the access to university education in the country of residence. The Certificate should by certified by the respective authorities (Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the resident’s country). The certificate should be attested and legalized by the Bulgarian consulate at the nearest Bulgarian diplomatic mission.
    3. Translated into English: Original Health Certificate issued not longer than a month prior to the date of the application at the Bulgarian Ministry of Education. The health certificate should be attested by the Ministry of HEALTH and the Ministry of Foreign affairs, and legalized by the Bulgarian consulate at the nearest Bulgarian diplomatic mission.
    4. FOUR identical and recent color passport size photos

Once the above-mentioned documents are received by HRC Culinary Academy, they will be sent to the Bulgarian Ministry of Education for approval. This process may take up to 20 working days.

PLEASE NOTE THAT:

  1. All documents should be translated into English language before legalized, attested and certified
  2. You can find the list with the Bulgarian embassies here.
  3. You can find all the necessary visa information (fees and application forms) here.
  4. For the countries, that signed the Hague Convention, there is the so called Apostille Certificate. After translating and notarizing the documents, they can be “super legalized” with this certificate without the need to be legalized further in the respective authorities or the Bulgarian consulates.   • Step 4

HRC Culinary Academy will send notification via email of the applicant’s approval status from the Bulgarian Ministry of Education. At this point the student must pay the relevant tuition fees and send us via email a scanned copy of the transaction receipt. 

The fees are as follows:

    • Tuition fee for semester 1:                      1950.00 Euro
    • Equipment fee:                                        295.00 Euro

                 Total:   2245.00 Euro

 

  • Step 5

Upon receiving the fees, mentioned in step 4, the HRC Academy will send a document package needed for the application of the Bulgarian visa D. The following documents are required for your Bulgarian visa D application:

    1. Three identical and recent colored passport size photos
    2. Valid international passport for the period of stay in Bulgaria
    3. Completed application form for Bulgarian visa D
    4. Original Bank receipt of Tuition fee payment
    5. Original bank statements of bank accounts showing proof of income dating to at least three months prior to the date of visa application.

The application for the Bulgarian visa D takes as approximately 20 working days. Once the applicant has been granted the visa D he/she can proceed with flight arrangements.

Payment information for NON EU applicants

The payment scheme for Non European Union students at the HRC Culinary Academy is as follow:

First Payment
Tuition fee for semester 1:                         1950.00 Euro
Equipment fee:                                            295.00 Euro
Total:  2245.00 Euro


Fees for the First Payment must be paid in full prior to applying for the Bulgarian visa D.
Tuition fees for semester 2, 3 and 4 are 1950 Euro per semester. All fees are due 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester and are net amounts where sender must pay all relevant charges.

* The full tuition fee set at HRC Academy is EUR 3.900 (non EU students) per annum. 90% of our students receive a scholarship at the amount up to EUR 1.000 per annum in year 2. Based on the average scholarship per student of EUR 800 per year, the actual tuition fees are approximately 3100,00 EUR. Scholarships are based on academic performance.

If the Bulgarian embassy does not grant the visa D to the student, the HRC Culinary Academy will refund all fees except for the non-refundable registration fee less the corresponding bank charges. For a complete overview of our refund policies, please click here.
